Single Engine Piston Rating (SEP)
If you have previously held an SEP rating on your NPPL or PPL and it’s expired we are here to help you gain that rating back. Remember an NPPL or PPL doesn’t expire, only the rating does, so getting your ‘old PPL’ back is a lot easier than you may think.
The UK CAA mandate training as required to regain an SEP so the course length can vary depending on how long its been since you last flew. You may well be in current flying practice in larger aircraft but want your SEP rating back for fun weekend flying, in which case the course is shorter than someone who hasn’t flown for many years.
The course can be structured to suit you and will cover all general handling elements along with some navigation, at the end of the course there is a flight skills test with an independent examiner.
We have been helping pilots regain their currency for over 30 years so are very used to tailoring the course to meet your specific requirements.
If you are looking to revalidate your current SEP rating, by using the experience scheme, please get in touch as we can conduct the training flight that is required and sign up your licence for the next two years.
If you have not held an SEP before because you followed an integrated commercial training course then please get in touch as we can help you achieve this rating on your licence.
